STORY
Guy
arrives on the Aran Islands off of western Ireland. There he meets a
family of four who own one of the oldest restaurants on the islands. Each
one of the characters is the living embodiment of each of the four taste
sensations. The patriarch is soon dead and the chief suspect is the Blue
man. Guy’s blank expression assumes the characteristics of each of the
savory characters as he pleads his innocence. In the most traditional of
food and family, variety is essential and taste is relative.
TASTE
will take the four major taste sensations (sweet, sour, salty and bitter)
and personify them as the four main Irish characters. Each family member
will take a turn narrating in voice-over. Meanwhile Guy’s
‘disposition’ changes according to the character he is interacting
with. |
